DOMINO’S PIZZA has been heavily criticised following plans to build a restaurant near Tenby’s war memorial on the South Parade.
The application, which is in the early stages, has been branded as ‘disrespectful’ and ‘insensitive’ by locals.
If successful, it would be the chain’s first restaurant in Pembrokeshire. The fast good giant is hoping to occupy Unit 1-3 on the South Parade.
However, at a Tenby Town Council meeting last Tuesday (Apr 11), the proposal was heavily criticised.
As well as the close proximity to the war memorial, the neon signage and potential for increased litter were among the points raised.
The existing pizza restaurants in the town, Get Stuffed and Top Joes, also sent letters to the council objecting to the plans.
The Herald has contacted Domino’s Pizza for comment.
